why tarot

A bit about myself: I am a cancer sun, virgo moon, scorpio rising. I have always had interest in psychology, astrology and spirituality but I have felt most connected to my tarot practice. I started my tarot journey in November of 2018. I have loved the transition of reading for myself to opening up my practice to others. I have found that tarot is a great tool to look at the world around you and internal issues with a different lens. I’ve fallen in love with tarot and the connection I have gained with others throughout the practice.

Tarot has been around since the 1430s and its use has switched from a card game to divination purposes over the years. For myself, tarot is a tool that uses archetypal symbols and events to help perspective and problem solving. TV shows and movies depict tarot as being used only to tell the future. While tarot can provide insight to future events, its use spans beyond that purpose. I use tarot to find patterns, uncover root issues, and look at other influences within a certain situation.
